I grew up in the "Downriver" area of Michigan and lived there for most of my life. Not long ago my family and I decided to move to the "Irish Hills" of Michigan to enjoy the quiet life in the country. I love it. I love our big garden. I love our eggs from our chickens. And I love using all of it for baking. As a kid I was always in the kitchen. In college I decided to major in culinary arts. I then received my degree in culinary arts and hotel/restaurant management. I worked as a sous chef and pastry chef at a golf club in the Metro-Detroit area for over 10 years. I then moved on to one of the Motor City's casino's and worked in the bakeshop, various outlets, and at their award winning 4-diamond restaurant. I have worked for many well respected chefs and I have also had the opportunity to work with some awesome and talented people in the industry. They have all taught me something and I have gained valuable experience thanks to them. Life in my family has always revolved around food . Food always brings people together. Whether good times or bad times food just seems to make everything a little better.
